Equipment Manager

The Equipment Manager is responsible for the safe utilization and repair of our fleet of cranes, heavy equipment and marine assets.
Position responsibilities:
  • Develops SOP's and procedures for all Shop/Yard functions
  • Coordinates equipment usage among jobs in the most efficient and cost effective way
  • Procures all purchases, rentals and lease purchases of new and used equipment and trucks, with approval from the Operations Director
  • Reviews equipment for efficiency and repair cost and recommends replacement or disposal
  • Participates in investigating all accidents resulting in equipment damage
  • Coordinates the support to all field projects for mechanical, trucking and equipment scheduling
  • Provides a safe working environment for employees
  • Maintains equipment, yard, buildings and grounds in a neat, orderly and professional manner
  • Plans, staffs and supervises all assigned department activities through appropriate delegation to department personnel
  • 4 year management degree or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
  • At least 8 years construction experience
  • Certified Equipment Professional or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
